Stellantis, formerly Fiat Chrysler, is recalling some 2019-22 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickups because the tailgate may not lock properly due to misaligned tailgate bumps, meaning the tailgate will possibly open while driving.

Affected owners will be notified of the recall by mail on January 27, 2023, and dealers will inspect the tailgate lock alignment and adjust it if losing the load is mandatory.
